Very often we work with actors to demonstrate to training participants how the Dialogue Road Map can work in different situations. The actors play a variety of roles from patients with Schizophrenia, perpetrators or victims of violent crime to divorcing spouses or neighbours for example.

Sometimes the actors will sit in on my workshop so they can understand the content of the DRM. The week before last was one such example. Later, I was really happy to hear this feedback from one of our actors;

‘It was good to watch and understand the work you do. In fact I was mindful of your methods in a tricky conversation I had to have with a family member and it worked brilliantly’

Tomorrow I’ll be trying out a dialogue process with a group of prisoners who have agreed to give me feedback on the methodology. I’ll keep you posted in the next blog.
